It would surely take years without cheating to get enough money to expand the stadium, and can you ever become pro?
| You can become pro. The champions league becomes an FA cup, you beat the easier opponents then pray for a big club tie. The hardest part is the transition from winning the league every year to getting to the group stage every year. Once that occurs, it gets easier.

| I've taken TNS from the Welsh league to the Champions League group stages on CM 01/02, but that was helped by signing stars on rolling contracts with high signing on fee's, risking losing them after a few games and wasting all that money.
Playing realistically I can't see how you could win anything in Europe, without some flaw/cheat/unrealistic style of playing (scouting all over the world from Ireland isn't realistic ) helping you.

Coefficent challenge makes the Pele challenge look easy. I tested this using cheat players on FM 2005, your only ever going to get to 1st if you can get an AI manager to be challenging in europe every year. That means, you've got to do the same thing with two or three teams.

But would you need loads of money to become pro? As its a semi-pro league (I think), would it ever happen? I know its possible Im just wondering how hard it would be in a small, part-time league.

I read a thread before which two people actually acheived champions league sucess a number of times on CM 01/02.

Would have been easier on CM 01/02 I think?
Its like that San Marino challenge thread Ter started, someone won the WC with San Marino I think, but a problem in the game meant very good regens appeared in Belarus. Something like that would make a challenge a lot easier.

Tell you what, I can't join atm, busy with other challenges.
But believe me, from personal expierence, it is VERY difficult! I played with Annagh Utd. and even though i won the leagues easil, it became very difficult in the top flight. Realisticaly, its much much more difficult than Dafuge's challenge bcos of the restricted quality of players available all through your carrier.
Fun nevertheless...enjoy!

| One champions league tie against a big second round team. You've turned pro.
