how about if you use for example FULL brazilian national team for your club, then in the final you strictly follow the rules of the nationality?

Can you just play players out of position, or do they need to have that position to count?

And can I use the 5-3-2 version of 4-4-2??

You can play them out of position, so you can play a dutch left winger as long as you play him in right midfield.

And no, 442 only :p

Pretty sure you can do that, you've got to win the final as well as every round though.

Actually, the quote in your initial post doesn't say average age at all. It's the most common age, so all it's saying is that more 23 year old GKs have lifted the trophy than any other individual age.
