I'm guessing it's the average age of Spanish keepers, not all keepers.

New rule: You may retrain players to fit into the formation if you wish. So if you have a promising Dutch left winger, you may retrain him and play him on the right of midfield.

Just curious, how can most leagues field such a team, with foreign player restrictions? And the 4/8 rule?

Well, okay ... there's only two non-EU players, so France (for example) could field the side. And having 8 {Frenchmen}, {7} of your declared squad would never be able to play.

An added level of difficulty, then.

Youth players. It should be years before a team is able to field the ultimate Champions League team. A lot of players will have to be captured at a young age in order to make the homegrown rule.

Subs count too. So if you have two 23 year old Spanish goalkeepers and play them both in the final, you get points for each.

dual nationalities I suppose... relatively easy to get in spain and italy. Although for an easy ride i'd suggest portugal or germany.
