Since fm05 I've always played with a Tahitian alter ego, with Liverpool as my favourite club.
As I now find this gives me a full bar for Tahiti and half a bar for English knowledge would this be considered cheating?

I think a bigger club will be much easier, your board will straight away want feeder clubs from all around the world, and scots with knowledge from all around the world will want to join you too

No, as long as you still went a conf north/south club I'd give you bonus points for working the system
