More RAM and a faster processor than you've already got. That'll make it faster. I can't make any defifinite recommendations as everybody's system is different.

I definitely would not recommend overclocking a processor running FM though. FM is very processor-intensive, much more so than other software, and can very easily make the processor overheat and your computer crash.

What would you recommend?

As i have AVPC machine and if i was do buy a new machine because i have had mine for about 4 years what machine and what specification should i get to make 30 years plus work faster.

I would definitely recommend overclocking as long as you know what you are doing. Just get better cooling. The money you save by getting a cheaper cpu and overclocking it will more then pay for the cooling.

BUT it will close down all other programs in some cases , make sure you have save your work before using , also it will make match engine going bullet speed and clicking on menus impossible (because it is too fast) so you will need to adjust it every now and then.

TIP it is ideal for experiments when "on holiday" etc .
