Default Why do U20 teams have older players
Every once in awhile the weekly Inbox has summaries of the U20 games and sometimes they say this guy did good in the match and sometimes those guys are like 24 or 25 and there playing on a U20 team, makes no sense. Whats up?

Under 20's games in what competition ?

Could be like the Olympics were teams are classed as Under 23's but can have 3 overage players

and it's an age 20/23 whatever at a cut off point on some date in the beginning of the qualifiars so by the time the finals come around there will be some older than that named.

If you are talking about Italian's u20 teams then you can play up to two (i think) older player... for others league i don't know

Italy doesn't have a reserve league irl so perhaps that's why you have some over age players in your under 20's squad.
