Default Gillingham in the Premiership

Just starting 5th season managed to get Gillingham promoted to the Premiership, but now no-one will sign for me.

Not a major surprise as they expect us to get hammered every week

But some players who have refused to come on loan have previously gone on loan to Championship teams.

Have I just got to lower my targets? Can anyone suggest whether it would be better to target UK or European based players?

I know its hard to suggest players 5 seasons in, but any suggestions would be greatfully recieved

Congratulations!!
Your reputation probably isn't high enough to attract true quality players though, have you tried some from lesser known countries, such as Poland (my personal favourite). TBH I find English players too expensive to get in, I usually go for European players plying their trade in La Liga B etc. Five seasons in how are some of the regens out there?
Hope you stay out of the bottom 3!!

Yeah, try the lower profile European countries, or check out the top tier reserves of stuff like Italy, Spain and France and see if you can scooby some loaners. =)

All i can say is that once you reach this point your scouts are your biggest asset. Scandinavia is my personal favourite as you can pick up quality players on the cheap who are more than willing to sign for you.

My starting 11 for Brighton in the premiership is very much not english. Added the first subs for all positions aswell. I have found Spain, Belgium and France to be very nice places to go hunting along with Scandinavia.

GK-Uruguay/Belgium
DR-Spain/England
DL-Wales/Austria
DC-Italy/England
DC-Spain/England
DM-France/France
MR-Senegal/Spain
ML-England/Spain
AM-France/Brazil
ST-France/Norway
ST-Belgium/Finland
