Ok, not sure what happened here but check this out: I am manager of AS Roma facing Liverpool 2007-8 Champions League match day 3 at Anfield.

At halftime dour nil nil scoreline. To change things up AI Benites makes 2 subs, taking out Carragher and Lucas. I thought that was kind of odd but no big deal, but then Torres gets hurt in the 54th min and was removed....ok here is the strange part...he was not replaced!!! at least not right away. the 3rd sub came in 21 minutes later..Is there some reasonable explantion out there how this could happen or maybe there is a reason IRL as to why the inj player would not be replaced...When Torres was taken out and not replaced score remained 0-0....

By the way, I did end up winning in stoppage time thanks to a dodgy penalty call....Mancini converted!

it was probably just a green injury where the player plays on

as for the subs, why not ? IRL managers change around, maybe Lucas came off for Xabi Alonso or something.
