I read a while some people commenting on the fact that lesser teams from the big clubs dominate the Euro cup so I was happy to see the final in the first season of a new game is

no need for flaming from fans of the clubs or general know it alls..i am well aware they are good clubs. The unusual bit is just taken from the fact that it does not seem to happen very often from what others have posted. None of the pesky 'overrated' english teams even made the quarter final.

i've had a few all English championsleague finals on FM08, but not as many as fm 06 and 07.

Well, why does it never happen on FM then? The answer is that FM has guys like Joe Cole and Frank (i can hit the ball really hard) Lampard as world class when even the Englich public know they are not world class.

I would say Joe Cole is.

Also, the top English teams, on paper, ARE capable on winning the CL. It's just that irl they fall short. Represented on FM, they do much better.

To put in words, english teams don't over-achieve on FM, they under-achieve irl.

Also, it's nice not to see Shakthar Donetsk winning the CL every year. FM06 and 07, they seemed to dominate on my games.

With an English team in each of the last 3 finals, I don't think it's too unlikely that we could see in the near future an all-English Champions League final.

Which is why Tottenham arent doing particularly well right now.

Glad to see diversity in the Cup, are those teams part of the G14?

If they arent, then that is where should consider the real disbelief of having two none G-14 clubs in a European final!

(last club outside G-14 was Monaco I believe? I can only back that up from newspapers though)
