i was wondering if it is better 2 keep youth prospects in my u-18/reserves and leave them to train or is it better to loan them out to lower league teams where they will get 1st team experience ?

Please try and use proper English.

But to answer your question what I do is keep players in my U-18s until they are too old and then send them on loan for a few seasons to get first team football and then assess whether they are good enough to challenge for the first team.
This may not be the best way to do things, this is just how i do things.

i actually didn't see the error after the first read.

i think it is important to get young players into your squad by the age of 18. make them a sub for matches against lesser teams, or cup ties. allow them to play alongside their mentors.

only if u18 player is reallly not good enough to do even that, will i send them on loan. (if i want my feeder team to gain promotion, the hottest prospects can be sent there as well, nothing like a good promotion challenge for experience)

in short, send them on loan, unless you're wiling to do some real man-management.

paduaro - for me it depends on the player, if the player has low stamina/ natural fitness/ strengh i keep him at the club as i dont want him getting battered by lower league clubs for an entire season

also take into consideration to the training facilities of the club you are loaning the player to
