Default Are you a Mourinho or a Sir Alex?

Just wondering how many of you try and development players, instead of splashing out on your transfer budget. This mainly goes to people who play as Big Teams with huge transfer budgets.

As Man Utd the following have broke into my 1st Team Squad;

J. Evans (Also in First XI)
D. Simpson (Also in First XI)
D. Gibson
C. Cathcart
F. Campbell (Tempory replacement for inj. Rooney)
P. Bardsley

Future Prospects:

Rafeal
Fabio
D. Welbeck
and 3 regens (GK,DC,DM)

1st season only bought R. Quaresma, KJ Huntelaar and Bale 2nd season Dos Santos on free and 3rd, Bojan on free and Aguero for £35m. Board have giving me £50m odd for transfer budget, but i'm trying stop my self clicking buy.

So are you a Mourinho or a Sir Alex?

I'm a Harry Redknapp. Buy potentially problem players cheap, because their talent makes them bargains, then reign in the attitude problems. Mix them with vets from other sides and a couple of youth teamers and Robert's your father's slightly creepy brother.

Oh, and getting arrested just to give the police something to do.

I love to buy young players for peanuts and try to turn them in to world class talent. It's much more enjoyable than spending tens of millions on some egotistic nancy boy.

i normally build a club from lowere leagues up and use my youth all the way for most of it (im very tight even when my gateshead side had £200m transfer funds in 2030 (FM07)

i like to train my youngsters to raise their stats and it gives me joy to see good players coming from my academy

but i like wonderkids from all over the world and of course superstars that play well

so i think i'm between mourinho and ferguson

but i prefer my own talents if i had to choose

I'm a more of a Wenger - buy cheap promising youth players and develop them. I remember in my main '07 game, barring the £12m I spent on Alexandre Pato, my entire 1st team had cost me about £5m total, and I didn't buy any new players for about 7 years as they were all young enough to keep playing for ages. Won about a dozen trophies including 4 Prem titles in that time

To be honest what PhroX said!

How on Earth are Ferguson and Mourinho that different?

Surely the question is now, Are you a Ferguson or a Wenger!

Ferguson has never been like Wenger! Ferguson was very fortunate to have so many good young players coming through at the same time! I can't see that sort of talent coming through from an Academy all at once again tbh!

Ferguson buys young talent at a fair price (50 million for Anderson, Nani and the others)

Wenger buys them for about a fifth of the price!

I'm a bit of both. I buy when I need to buy for my team for instant succes, the most I've paid for a player is £13m under extreme circumstances as I am Celtic. I love to buy young talent, currently have about 21 young regens on loan to other teams. I'm in the year 2014.

Ferdinand - £29m
Rooney - £27m
Carrick - £18.6m
Hargraves - £17m
Anderson - £17.7m
Nani - £18m
Tevez - £38m (transfer + wage)

How un-Mourinho of Sir Alex!
