Are this years sliders creating problems this year with tactic building that they haven't in previous versions?
I've been wondering about this a lot after looking at my tactics I used last year. Last year I had a lot of mirroring and familiarity with the various positions on the field, eg centre backs, full backs, defensive midfielder, midfielder, wingers, attackers had instructions that kept them in a tight compact unit.
The perfect example is this years closing down slider. The reason being is in previous versions the closing down slider allowed "rarely, mixed, often" which allowed various players to do just that in their own area of the pitch. IE The centre backs and full backs closing down mentality could be mirrored with their mentality for example. Now we have "own area, own half and full pitch" which doesn't allow you to link up the sliders with mentality as easily and I feel maybe that with these sliders players get pulled out of position too easily.
Also the basic rules of previous versions have also altered dramatically. Is it just me or does the old rule of mirroring tempo with passing style (eg short/slow) not work anymore?
How about the Rule of one and the Rule of two on mentality? Eg Centre Backs 6 clicks, Full Backs 8 clicks, DM 10 clicks, wingers 12 clicks etc etc.. Has this also ceased to work? This used to give good cohesion to the way your team attacked and defended as a unit...
Any thoughts?
