I find this game hard to score. My midfielders and strikers cannot score on long shots and one-on-one. I try to put them long shots rarely, but they still try long shots.

Can anyone help me with long shots and one-on-one?..

And also, any way to tell them not to shoot high?.. We are playing football, not rugby...

the answer is no
everyone seems to have the same problem on this version...you get a 1on1 and the player shoots straight at the keeper and long shots just go over the bar....its got to be something in the AI and match engine

Try to set your strikers mentallity to attacking (between normal and full attacking) then creative freedom normal run with ball often, long shot rarely and the rest mixed. I used AC Milan and i seem to be getting matches of 2-0 and 3-0 even though i expected more having 30 shots.
