My two central midfielders are playing uselessly, as are my two wingers.

I also happen to be Barcelona, and though I've won La Liga and the Champion's League in my first season, I'm very unhappy with the team and the game. I'm trying to use two of the best wingers in the game in Ronaldinho and Messi, and they're rubbish. Xavi and Iniesta as well as Deco are also absolute muck.

Anyone know what I should or could be doing?

you didn't mention any individual settings. List the individual instructions for your 2 wingers.


However I don't know why you'd be playing mixed/quick with Barca. Good teams generally want to play slow/short because then they get to control the game. Quick tempo in my opinion is to be used for teams trying to get on the counter.

Try playing short passing and slow tempo. Set your 2 CM to forward run rarely to own the midfield (they will be in midfield if opposition counters)and passing mixed. For your flanks set forward run and run with ball often. Your team setting should change creative freedom to normal, short passing and slow tempo and width to between normal and wide. It should work out well.
