Every other good player in FM08 is an AMC. WHY?

Hmm, you definately haven't searched very much then.
Try looking a little bit more around and if you still can't find any good wing/WB/GK, try looking in this forum for some help.

It is possible that there are more better AMC's than WB's in the game (I haven't counted them), but then it would probably be a reflection of how it is in the real world also.

To be fair, try to compare the amount of "worldclass" or just really good AMC's in real life to the amount of equally as good wingbacks or goalkeepers - I bet the result would be about the same as it is in FM

i think it is easier to be a good attacking player becoz u get more notice, finnan agger carragher and riise set a all time clean sheet record for liverpool but only carragher is anywhere near one of the best defenders on the game

attacking players get more recognition for their skill or goal scoring records

I disagree with this strongly. If you looked around you'd find that there are many other great players. Ronaldo, Silva, Robben, Joaqin, Quaresma etc etc all great wingers. Fabregas is the ultimate CM. Casillas, Buffon, Cech? Ring any bells? Pirlo, Vieira, Cambiasso? Dani Alves? Sergio Ramos? I could go on forever.

And from experience, I want to make it known that in my Real Madrid Save, in which I have some of these players, the two best performing are Silva and Casillas by a long shot. Sergio Ramos is coming in a close 3rd. Perhaps its because people don't place as much emphasis on clean sheets or good defensive play as goals and attacking play, but the simple fact is you aren't looking properly at all. There are plenty of defensive players who could easily outplay the world's best attackers. And as a final point, might I mention that AMC does not include strikers. So add the likes of Rooney, Tevez, Ibrahimovic etc to your "list of no good players".
