Default dafuge's small club to big club challenge

The Aim

To take a small club who were previously unplayable in the game to Premiership and European glory.

Basically, I was thinking, what would be the biggest challenge available on FM2006? Is it to take a Conference North/South side to become the Premiership champions and winners of the UEFA Champions League? Of course not, why not go one stage further and take a club from the league below the Conference North/South to become the Premiership champions and winners of the UEFA Champions League glory!

The Rules

You must load a game with only the English league loaded from Conference North/South up, with a normal sized database.

Attribute masking must be on.

Add yourself as an unemployed manager, the details of your manager are not important.

Go on holiday until 20th June 2006.

Retire as manager.

Add a new manager and take over any one of the four new clubs promoted to the Conference North/South, the choice of the four is yours. The details of the manager are up to you.

It is now up to you to manage this club all the way to the Premiership and UEFA Champions League crown.

No external utilities such as FMScout or editors may be used, cheating is not welcomed.

The rest is down to your management skills, obviously the assumption is that you will be using your own training and tactics to suit the club you are managing, although there is nothing to stop you using other people's. (apart from the satisfaction)

Rules for this thread

Player naming is allowed. (This is a warning for those of you who do not wish to see this)

Discussion on tactics is allowed. (This is another warning for those of you who do not wish to see this)

Screenshots for anything are encouraged.

Progress of your club should be documented using this thread, we want to hear the story of your club all the way through. Please keep us updated, even if you are doing really badly.

The Winner

Thw inner will be the first person to win the Premiership and the UEFA Champions League with a previously unplayable club, this does not necessarily need to be in the same season. The full story must be documented in this thread.

Obviously kudos will go to the first person who can take their lower league club to European and Premiership glory, but the main objective of the thread is that is that the users of these boards can share their experiences together. Don't forget, we want to hear of all the successes as well as the failures.

Good luck, dafuge

I imagine it'll be very tough to survive in the higher leagues with such low attendances and an unexpandable stadium.

That's why this is the ultimate challenge, it'll be interesting to see how far people can get and how much of a problem this will become.
