Default 2 circles from one pic

I've got a glam model image that I want to make two cirles from so it looks like you are looking through a pair off binoculars. Either separate images or one image (one is probably better as its for her website!). so the gist is how do I keep the proportions, scale etc and so the pic look like there are two circles of her face and upper body with a pink background colour?

I've tried but can seem to make two cirles at once!!!

PS is great but hard!

Hi mitchellgrant,

Try this. Open your image in PS. It will be the background layer. Use the Eliptical Marquee Tool to create a circular selection. This is facilitated by holding down the Shift key as you draw out the marquee and, while still holding the shift and mouse key down you can additionally hold down the space bar and move the selection into place without changing the size or shape. Once you have selected the area of the image you wish to use go Layer > New > Layer Via Copy. Now you will have a new layer with the circular selection 'cut out' of the background image on it. Duplicate that new layer by going to the Layer's Palette and dragging it to the New Layer icon at the bottom of the palette. You now have two layers with the circular image and your background image.

At this point, I'd suggest making the background active and clicking on the new layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette. You will have a new empty layer above the Background layer. Fill it with your pink color. Now make the move tool active and one of your circular image layers active in the layers palette. Hold down the shift key (which makes the image move 10 pixels at a key stroke rather than one) and repeatedly hit one of the right or left arrow keys to move that circle to the left or right. In the same manner move the other circular image layer until they look right.
