Line up news:
After Fairgrieves poor performance last match and Ronaldo still not being fit Andrews was asked to fill in at MC...lets see how it went...

The game once agained start at a slow tempo for the Lions with Nourese creating the early chances. But when Terroristio saw the space down the right he provided a beautiful cross for Baggio to head home. (the only exciting bit of the half apart from MAc once again pulling out all the stops.

The second half started quickly for the Lions. Martins this time with a free kick allowing Baggio to head in again. Nourese then got themselves into gear and piled on the pressure which finally told, Marini sending a shot that Mac had no chance with. In the last 10 minutes Baggio was taken down in the box and Andrews duly converted.

Most entertaining game of the season so far saw a 3 influential players return to the bench Benj, Robaldinho and Cook all on the wings. But who was it going to be to catch the headlines??

Lions 3 - 2 Valenzane

For the first time in a while Lions took the game by the scruff of the neck with Baggio firing wide. The deadlock was broken by Andrews on the 24th minute, after an interception by Fairgrieve found its way to the strikers feet. A second followed Sparrow latching onto a Andrews cross.
Valenzane got one back when Mac decided he would head the ball into his own net rather then catch it and throw it upfield.....nice one :thup:.
Andrews and Fairgrieve were replaced at halftime by Benj and Martins due to injuries. It meant that Sparrow would move into the centre.
Valenzana then equalized 10 minutes after the break when Mac went to collect a cross, but to miss it completely.... nice one :thup:.
After sparrow was finding it hard in Centre mid Elliot came onto replace him, meaning Cool Cruz moved to centre mid, Cruzinho nearly provided the inspiration Lions needed firing wide from 10 yards out.
But who else would provide the inspiration other then...you guessed it Benj on his return stole the ball on the half way line and had an amazing solo run to finish the game off.

My MoM is Mac!!! only messing it has to be Benj to come and return like that and score the winning goal...top class!

International Callups across the board. Looks like we should take this season if we keep up this form.

(Went 328 minutes without conceding a competitive goal. Am liking this)
