Preseason roundup

Transfers in:
 Bastian Andersson AMRC, IFK Göteborg - loan extension
 Gustav Svensson D/M C, IFK Göteborg - loan extension
 Alexander Nadj GK, IFK Göteborg - season loan

Transfers out:
Erik G. Thuresson - Released
Jonas Nylin - Snöstorp/Nyhem, Free
:thdn: Daniel Ung - Snöstorp/Nyhem Free
Johan Winroth - Snöstorp/Nyhem, Free
Kristoffer Eglèn - Asmunstorp, Free
Andreas Andersson - IFK Örby, Free
Kristian Gustavsson - IFK Västerås. Free
Gunay Adem - Gällivare Malmberget, Free

Squad average age is now down to 20. It needs to stop here. The financial situation makes it impossible to sign players. Luckily IFK are happy to let me keep our two loanees for another season, and they even threw in a keeper on their own accord. In an attempt to bring the salaries in line with the budget we had a bit of a clearout of fringe players. Newly promoted Snöstorp/Nyhem decided to go bulk shopping, and I think their three signings are going to be great for them.

Friendlies:
BoIS-Askim 2-2 (Bengtsson M, Kux)
BoIS-Hisingbacka 4-2 (Andersson D, Richt, Bjärne, Bengtsson M)
BoIS-Trönninge 2-0 (Backlund, Hagman)
BoIS-Assyriska FF 1-2 (Bjärne)
BoIS-Gunnilse 1-4 (Kux)
BoIS-Qviding 3-2 (Svensson, Mehmet, Richt)

Squad Status:
Alexander Nadj will be our first choice keeper, with Peter Dahlberg #2. Ola Olaussen will need to show some serious improvement in the reserves.
Gustav Svensson have been outstanding in central defense in the friendlies, I just hope he'll stay fit. The physios say he's fit as a fiddle, but I might just as well ask the tea-lady or the mailman. His partner will of course be Klas Sundqvist. Adam Ahlqvist is so error-prone I am loathe to play him too much yet. Frederik Björk and veteran Lars Andersson also provide cover.
Rabi Yaqueb is the definite #1 right back. He's also our #1 earner, so he'd better be good this year. A bit more competition for left back, with Daniel Nilsson and Nils Andersson duking it out. I think Andersson is the most talented in the long run.
Midfield is a bit of a musical chairs game, as several players can play in different positions. Tobias Andersson laid claim to the anchor man role last year, and will start there. Bastian Andersson will replace Alen Hardega, who I was unable to get a loan extension for. With the opening on the right wing I have the option of moving Mehmet over and playing Daniel Andersson on the left, or I can put Daniel Backlund on the right while Mehmet stay left. The left side is a bit thin, as Andersson and Mehmet are our only options.
Up front it's Johan Richt all the way. He has no competition at all. Christoffer Bjärne is the cover target man, but he won't play unless Johan is in a wheel chair. The secondary striker should be last seasons fans favourite Matias Bengtsson, unless Christian Dahl can show me what he's supposedly got.

We're expected to finish bottom again, even though there are four new teams in the league. The defense is still suspect, and we'll have to carry on last seasons "score-more-than-them" strategy. Going forward we have quality, but not much depth. I hope to improve on last seasons fifth place, but we'll need a bit of luck on our side. I see no hope of improving the financials other than a board takeover, so we just have to work at staying under the wage budget. I smell some grey player signings…

Now it's time for work

Still not sure how I won to be honest, no real quality players. Maybe its just a confidence thing.

I didnt make any media comments before games, and every game I just wished them luck, something I almost never do in other games (usually I tell them they can win or to enjoy themselves if there is no hope but very rarely do i say good luck).

Will play the last few league games in between work and then post some screenies.

Now that we have won the group, 2 things have immediately happened.

1. Our estimated value has leapt from 4k to 12k

2. We are favourites to win a game (in can only end in tears ).

Having gone up to 7.02 I now cant find the club valuation lists to see how far up the table I climb with a mighty 12k.

Well I was right, we lost 2-0 for our 3rd defeat of the season.

We were also favourites for our next game but this time we won 6-0 (2 goals each for Dyverfelt, hardaga & Adem) and I think I have had 6 players hailed by the media over the 2 or 3 days after the game.

Final league match and then I will post a full season review with screenies.

Right its end of season round up time.

As I said before, somehow or other we won the title and promotion. Straight away I got this message that I had not seen before, went with the staying for more honours option.

League Table

Player Stats

Some very good performances this season, Antabi managed 7 clean sheets, hardaga on loan got 6 goals and 6 assists, and my two main front men both with 6 assists on top of their goal tallies.

My 16 year olds

Christian Dahl, what can I say, top goal scorer, joint top assists, played every game. If only his stats were any good
he could go along way.

Thommie Andersson, played well, had an early injury but came back in time to get his 10 appearances. His technical stats aren't bad but he needs to develop physically to progress.

Jacob Johansson, found him early but had to wait until July to sign him, then wondered why I bothered. Started out at Right Back then moved to Right Midfield just to see how he did. Got his assist from Right Back.

Financially, the club is up to an estimated value of 14k, but I have no idea how that compares to the other teams at the moment. At the end of November we are just over 80k in the red, losing nearly 20k per month in the off season.

I have been told there is no money to spend on players, but the wage budget has jumped to over 6k per week.

Had a couple of home games with over 500 people turning up, hopefully in a diviosn higher up we should get a few more through the turnstiles.

Been turned down for a parent club for a 2nd time.

And finally, I don't consieder myself a cruel man, but I did chuckle when I saw when the players had to return from the off season.

Mini Update, Christian Dahl was unsurprisingly Supporters player of the year, and Varbergs were the overachievers.

Now In Division 1 South and the board are realistic (ish) and want to stay clear of relegation. The fans want mid-table  although in a league of 14 were the bottom 3 are relegated they amount to the same thing.

TV Money, \o/, 100k over the season.

You lucky sob... 100k...

I can't find the rich list either, so we'll just have to break into the top 100, hah!

I still can't believe how you're only 80K in the red, fair enough it's £, while my 700K are Euro, but still it's a huge difference.

Division 2 is expanded to 12 teams, with an extra relegation spot. We seem to have got every relegated 1st division side as well, so bye bye promotion hopes. And I'm still not in the cup.

Don't get relegated

I'm just over 100k in the red now at Mid January.

I have posted about the country rich list in the bugs forum here if you would like to add your voice.

I noticed that different Div 2 groups had different numbers of teams, must vary between 11 & 12 according to locations.

OK, so according to the other thread referenced above, we can no longer access the club valuation table and therefore not see how we are doing in the richest club in Sweden list.

Suppose we will just have to go straight for richest team in the world then
