2nd season is underway, currently overhauling the season format for the next update, currently it looks crap and i want it to look nice.


I'm also wondering if the non-technical attribute Buying Players influences the quality of the purchases or the frequency of the purchases. More info to come soon.

When I was reading Kip's thread months ago, apart from the tweaks he had made which were interesting, I personally was even more interested in seeing how different managers and chairmen with differing personalities and level of abilities can change a team's fortune.

This isn't exactly what I wanted but it's closer to what I'm interested in and so I wanted to wish you luck on this experiment and to tell you, I'll be doing my best to follow this.

p.s. It's too late now but I personally would've liked to see how a superior chairman (One with CA of 160 and PA of 200 let's say) would compare and make the club potentially more successful in the long and short run than the other clubs with same situation but with CA of 100 which you've given let's say.

But I see, that in your experiment, they all have the same level of ability and it is their coaching and mental attributes which differ which is also interesting.

Its relatively easy to set up a test like this one as there isnt much editing to do. There is however much more effort involved in tracking the effects of those changes due to there being 5 clubs involved.

In theory a high skilled (ca/pa) chairman should drive a club forward more effectively than a lower skilled one. How well that theory holds up in practice though would show just how well SI have coded the underlying fundamentals of the game when taking other effects into consideration.

Should have set all other attributes to 10 or something tbh. I think Resources are more important for chairmen than anything else.

Quite possibly they are, but im not testing the AI's handling of a chairmen's resource attribute, though I'm more inclined towards thinking Business would have more control over how well he performs within the club, imo Resources only represents the personal wealth he is able to invest into the club.

I'm looking specifically at Ambition + Inteference, hence the 1/1, 1/20, 20/1 & 20/20 combinations i have setup, the 10/10 is there as an "average benchmark" for comparison with these extreme values.
