Regen stands for 'regenerated players'.
Basically in FMH the number of players remains roughly constant - that is when a player retires after a random period of time another player will be 'born as a youth player.
The new player is termed a 'regen' because he is based upon the player who retired earlier and hence is a 'regenerated' version of him.

Ive got a quick question about regens too. After how many seasons do they start appearing?

You can't search for 'regens' perse - they just show up in searches as per normal.
However obviously if you're 20 seasons in its a fair bet to say that any 16 year old is a 'regen'.

| Regens will start appearing within the first season - however they will be fairly rare in the first season as fewer players than 'normal' will retire during that season (simply because if a player was entered into the database by researchers its fairly safe to presume he's expected to complete the first season as a player at least).

my tip to find them is to look at lower league teams they normally have young players with good stats and also look in south america/ eastern europe as they seem to appear ther quite often.

I've noticed some strange regens in my game.
I signed a guy from Milan on a bosman, he was obviously a regen because his history screen stated that his first season was 2008/2009.
It's strange as he started his career at Milan as a youth, but his nationality was something like Scottish/Sengalise or something strange.

Incidently, I signed him in the summer on a bosman, and in the January transfer window of the same season, I sold him for £5 million to Everton.
