On the fifth minute of the match Gudjohnsen was about to get a shot at good. After that Freemantle told Ferdinard to mark thoughtout the match and he wasn't able to get another decent shot.
On the 7th minute England got they first goal. Richardson took a corner and Jenas headed the ball in and got his first goal for England.
The second goal came on the 30th minute. Ferdinard was about to get the ball and after a run with the ball he swang it in the ball, Ameobi antipated the movement and got a delicous header into the back of the net.
But distancer stuck on the 39th minute when Ferdinard had to be subbed off a slight injury. Gerrard was made captain.
The final goal came on the 70th minute when Ameobi crossed the ball towards Rooney and he was able to get the goal pass the goalie.

At the end of the match the Icelandic manager said England was the better side.
