HD, I need some clarification on 5b and 6b:

First: If you're chasing an EPL team, and that team is relegated to 1st div at the same time you win promotion to EPL, is phase 5b then completed?

Second: If both you and the team you're chasing is in EPl and you get a higher placement, but you fail to beat you points total in the following season, what happens then? Do you keep playing until you beat it? How long does the signing restrictions count then?

I'm a bit confused in advance

5b - no, since technically you haven't finished above them, you need to play out the following season and survive in the top flight.

6b - restrictions start at the beginning of your second season up, complete the phase by earning more points than your first season up, you may not do this in the next season, but so long as you don't go down you can try again the next year and the one after, etc. Signing restrictions are renewed each season.

I'm giving up the challenge. Going to Portugal was a mistake and I didn't feel like carrying on with a clubhouse of whiners and bitchers. So I've retired from the game and am now am searching for story inspiration.

I'm going to add a little international management as a bonus :cool:, before I start phase 6b.

HD, the "final 10 games" signing restriction in 6b, is that final 10 league matches or what?

yes, it starts on the 10th from last league game.

I assume it would be alright to pick a Conference team for phase 7b instead of a 3rd Division team, or what?
