Rep Power: 0 | Monday 25th October: Fans favourite isn’t in manager’s plans!
Today Gert Verheyen asked his manager, Björn Noppe, if he could place him on the transfer list. The gaffer accepted it, which is quite strange. Last season Verheyen was picked as the fans player of the season and now he can just leave. But Gert told us that he understood it. I’m 34 year old and with the arrival of Aghahowa, who is young and talented, I’m not good anymore. The question is, which club will want to buy a 34 year old player? Manager Björn Noppe told the press that he wouldn’t mind if Verheyen stayed untill the end of the season as he is still a great player. To be continued….. Wednesday 27th October: Brugge get lucky point against Real Madrid. Club Brugge’s third game in the Champions Cup ended great as they managed to get a point at home against the great Real Madrid. The Spanish star team had the best chances over the whole game but Brugge wasn’t out played. Although Brugge lost their striker Casas with an injury after 18 minutes, he isn’t out. So that’s also good news.
Real Madrid were determined to not make the same mistake as AC Milan did as they didn’t pushed forward from the first minute. The game started slowly with both teams trying their luck from distance. After 18 minute Casas was injured and replaced by Lange. After that Real started to push forward. The likes of Beckham, Raul, Ronaldo, Figo, Zidane,… were all stopped by Butina, who is playing his best season so far here at Brugge. Diogo also played another great game as right back. Brugge had some chances also trough Mendoza and Kallstrom but Casillas stopped all of them. And so Brugge march on in the Champions league so far. They are on top with 7 points. Final score: Club Brugge 0 - Real Madrid 0 Attendance: 29969 Bookings: Beckham, Figo Player ratings: Butina 9, Diogo 8, Van der Heyden 6, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Verheyen 7, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 7, Casas 5 (Lange 18 min 7), Mendoza 7, Ceh 7
Elsewhere at San Siro Milan surprisingly lost against Rangers with 0-1 as Michael Ball’s penalty goal in the 44th minute was the only goal of the game. Here are the standings so far:

Pos Team Pld G.D. Pts1st Club Brugge 3 +3 72nd Real Madrid 3 +1 4---------------------------------------------------------------3rd Rangers 3 -3 34th Milan 3 -1 3

Rep Power: 0 | Cheers PM. Actually it was very easy against the Gers, but then again they're ****e. :p Friday 29th October: Sint-Truiden and Standard got the 8th playday underway with a 1-1 draw. Saturday 30th October: Cercle Brugge defeated Beveren in their own stadion with 1-2 while Germinal Beerschot - Genk ended in a 1-1 draw. Lierse and Antwerp both scored three times in a 3-3 draw and Mouscron easily won at home against Roeselare with 3-0. The last game today ended in a 1-0 victory for Westerlo over Lokeren. Sunday 31st October: Oostende managed to overcome La Louvière as they won with 1-0. Little stop for Brugge AA Gent were the first team that didn’t lose against Brugge this season in the league. But they didn’t win also as the game ended in a draw. Everyone thought Brugge would lose their first game this season when Ribus opened the score for Gent. But a minute later Kallstrom opened his account with a great 25 yard freekick. Herpoel came out as the deserved match winner.
The first half started slowly as Brugge’s players were still a bit tired after the Champions Cup game from Wednesday. Casas, Aghahowa and Mendoza both had some chances in the first half but a great playing Herpoel kept his team up. In the 57th minute Ribus headed in Machethe’s corner to take an undeserved lead. One thing was for sure, Brugge wouldn’t leave it like that and a minute later they equalised as Kallstrom scored a beautiful freekick from 25 yards out. They even pushed on for more but Herpoel was the reason why the game ended square. Final score: Club Brugge 1 – AA Gent 1 Scoreline: Ribus 57 min 0-1; Källström 58 min 1-1 Attendance: 19353 Bookings: Dever Player ratings: Butina 6, Diogo 7, Van der Heyden 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Aghahowa 7, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 8, Casas 7, Mendoza 7, Ceh 7 Anderlecht easily overcame Charleroi at home with a 3-0 win to complete the 8th playday. November, will anyone stop Brugge this month? Monday 1st November:
The board and fans are still delighted with my performances.
Then it was time for the Goal of the month:

1) Aelbrecht for Cercle Brugge vs.Lierse2) Vermast for Oostende vs. Mouscron3) Kpaka for Genk vs. Beveren

And of course I looked at my manager profile:

Ability to handle pressure 6 sameAmbition 11 sameLoyalty 8 1 upMedia handling 18 1 upProfessionalism 13 2 upTemperament 12 2 upReputation good ok
Wednesday 3rd November: Enzo Scifo was appointed today as the new manager of AA Gent. Cercle Brugge can’t stop their neighbours It was a nice game to watch this evening at Jan Breydelstadion as Cercle Brugge tried to stop their neighbours, Club Brugge. It was the “away” team that won the game thanks to goals from Mendoza and substitute striker Lange. Nobody can blaim Cercle that they didn’t try because they had also six chances to score.
Just like every year when these two teams meet each other, you know you’ll get a nice game to watch. First half chances from Jbari and Frigard were stopped by Butina and on the other side Begeyn stopped Casas and Mendoza. In the second half Källström chipped a corner kick into the area which was headed in by, who else, Mendoza. Björn wasn’t happy with 0-1 as he substituted Ceh for Stoica and Casas for Lange. That last change was a good one as six minutes before the end of the game Lange finished off Aghahowa’s perfect pass and Brugge march on… Final score: Cercle Brugge 0 – Club Brugge 2 Scoreline: Mendoza 67 min 0-1; Lange 84 min 0-2 Attendance: 28469 Bookings: Vandenbussche; Clement, Van der Heyden, Casas Player ratings: Butina 8, Diogo 8, Van der Heyden 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Aghahowa 9, Englebert 8, Kallstrom 7, Casas 7 (Lange 70 min 7), Mendoza 10, Ceh 8 (Stoica 70 min 7) AA Gent drawed 2-2 against Germinal Beerschot while Antwerp easily won against Beveren with 4-1. Genk lost surprisingly at home against Oostende with 0-1 while Mouscron won in and against La Louvière with 0-1. Lokeren beated Sint-Truiden with 2-1 and Roeselare - Charleroi ended one all. Standard easily trashed Lierse with 3-0 while Westerlo won against Anderlecht with 2-0.

Rep Power: 0 | Saturday 6th November: Brugge too big for the First division As expected Brugge won against Antwerp this evening. A first half goal of Englebert and a second half strike by Mendoza sealed Antwerp’ faith. It wasn’t all bad that Antwerp did as they gave a bit work to Butina also, but he managed to get his 9th clean sheet of the season. For the first time this season Casas played a bad game and got away with a rating of four.
When Antwerp enterd the pitch, you saw that they didn’t came to win, but to defend as much as possible. So Brugge tried their luck from distance and it worked as Englbert’s 30 yard strike in the top corner was unreachable for goallie Feys. Brugge pushed on and had chances enough, but they had to wait until the second half to see their lead getting doubled when Van der Heyden played a superb long ball for Mendoza. The Peruvian striker controlled it well and then blasted the ball past Feys, who turned around for the second, and final, time this evening. It wasn’t a slaughtering for Antwerp, but they did almost everything to prevent from being slaughtered. Brugge had a new personal record as they were unbeaten for 16 games so far. Final score: Club Brugge 2 – Antwerp 0 Scoreline: Englbert 33 min 1-0; Mendoza 62 min 2-0 Attendance: 17348 Bookings: Diogo; Evens, Cissé Player ratings: Butina 8, Diogo 7, Van der Heyden 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Aghahowa 7, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 7, Casas 4, Mendoza 9, Ceh 7 Anderlecht easily won against Roeselare as the game ended 3-0 while Germinal Beerschot couldn’t win against Cercle Brugge. The game ended one all. Lierse took distance of Lokeren in a 3-0 win while Mouscron won against Genk with 3-1. Sint-Truiden were in last position after a 2-3 loss at home against Westerlo. Sunday 7th November: Oostende defeated AA Gent with 1-0 to climb up to the fifth position which is superb for them. Charleroi got their ass wooped at home as they slumbed to a 1-4 defeat against La Louvière. The last game of the tenth playday saw Beveren and Standard ending into a 1-1 draw. After ten games we were eight points clear of our first followers, Anderlecht, who had 20 points. Tuesday 9th November:
I received an e-mail from West Ham in which they asked if €850K upfront and another €150K after 10 goals was enough for Alin Stoica. They would even give me a 40% sell on clause. I send back that I was very happy with this deal and that his agent will contact them very soon. Not yet Real Madrid… Would you be surprised if I told you that Brugge lost at Bernabéu? I don’t think so. Brugge are maybe untouchable in the first division, but against teams like Real they can’t win so far. Raul scored in the first half and Ronaldo and Castillo did in the second half. Four minutes after Real’s third goal, Brugge pulled one back trough Mendoza, who dreams about a transfer to Real Madrid.
Ok, Brugge managed to get a draw at home against Real Madrid, but whoever thought that they could do the same at Bernabéu is ready for the doctor. The first goal of Real came trough Raul as he finished off Ronaldo’s nice cross. Just before half-time Verheyen had to go off with an injury to be replaced by Stoica. In the second half Real pushed forward as they wanted more then 1-0 and they got what they were looking for in the 58th minute when Ronaldo scored a fabulous strike from 20 yards. Seven minutes later Castillo made it three nill with a diving header. But Brugge were determined to fight back at least a bit and they found the goal they were looking for in the 69th minute when Mendoza headed in Ceh’s cross. Mendoza was very happy with his goal and he hopes that he has impressed the scouts there, to make an offer on him. Final score: Real Madrid 3 - Club Brugge 1 Scoreline: Raul 35 min 1-0; Ronaldo 58 min 2-0; Castillo 65 min 3-0; Mendoza 69 min 3-1 Attendance: 68936 Bookings: De Cock, Clement, Englebert Player ratings: Butina 6, Diogo 6, Van der Heyden 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Verheyen 5 (Stoica 45 min 7), Englebert 6, Kallstrom 7, Casas 7, Mendoza 8, Ceh 7
In Scotland it didn’t went as I hoped as Rangers lost with 0-2 against Milan. Shevchenko scored both goals, one in the 10th and one in the 20th minute. Everything is still possible for all of the teams, but the Gers have the baddest papers.

Rep Power: 0 | We're always unlucky in big tournaments and that name prove's it... Friday 12th November: AA Gent and Mouscron played the first game of the 11th playday. The final result was a goal each.
Also today Alin Stoica came into my office to tell me that he would move to West Ham on the 1st of January 2005. Saturday 13th November: That’s called finishing. If you would see the final score of 1-3 for Brugge this evening away at Standard, you would think that they walked it. When you are thinking that, you are thinking wrong as Brugge only had four shots on target, while Standard had four shots on target and nine off target. Englebert opened the score for Brugge. Standard equalised trough a penalty which was converted by Cavens. In the second half Casas, who hadn’t scored in his last five game, finally scored again and eight minute after that goal Mendoza added one to his account.
Football is a sport where you have to finish your chances as it are the goals that count and not the chances. Brugge understood this and used it this evening. After 17 minutes Englebert opened the score with a half volley on Aghahowa’s cross. A few bit later Standard were level again as the referee awarded a penalty for a foul from Van der Heyden on Cavens. Cavens stepped up and converted the penalty to make it one all. Standard was the better team but all of their shots went over the bar, or otherwise were stopped by Butina. In the second half Brugge had their second chance, and second goal, of the game when Ceh centred the ball. Casas hitted a fierce left footed strike and it went in. In the last five games Casas didn’t score and his manager hopes that he will score again now. Eight minutes later Ceh played a lovely ball for the unmarked Mendoza. He rounded the keeper and finished off Brugge’s third chance of the game. So you see, sometimes it’s enough to have three or four chances in a game. Final score: Standard 1 – Club Brugge 3 Scoreline: Englebert 17 min 0-1; Cavens pen 34 min 1-1; Casas 67 min 1-2; Mendoza 75 min 1-3 Attendance: 25175 Bookings: Turaci; Van der Heyden (misses next match), Aghahowa Player ratings: Butina 5, Diogo 7, Van der Heyden 6, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Aghahowa 6, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 7, Casas 8, Mendoza 8, Ceh 8 Antwerp and Germinal Beerschot didn’t found the way to the goal as the game ended in a scoreless draw while Genk beated Charleroi with 4-1. La Louvière lost at home against Roeselare with 0-2 while Lokeren -Beveren ended two all. Sint-Truiden have won again after 12 games without a win. They won against Anderlecht with 2-0 while Lierse won in and against Westerlo with 0-1. Sunday 14th November: Oostende managed to defeat Cercle Brugge in their own stadion with 1-2. Sunday 21st November: A gap of class. Brugge have qualified for the next round of the Belgian Cup after they easily dispossed third division side Seraing. Mendoza opened the score for Brugge in the first half. Two minutes of the second half he made it two. Twelve minutes before the end of the game Lo Bello pulled one back for Seraing but Casas goal in injury time cliched it for Brugge.
As everyone thought Brugge controlled the game and they took the lead in the 21st minute when Casas crossed the ball for Mendoza. He scored with a diving header to give his team a one goal lead. That score last until the second minute of the second half as once again it was Casas who crossed the ball and Mendoza who scored again. Mendoza is really playing superbly and the question is, how long will it take before a club comes knocking on the door for his services. Butina was surprised when Lo Bello scored a goal in the 78th minute. Brugge didn’t feared a thing as they just went on with controlling the game. Casas’s perfect evening was crowned with a goal in injury time as he headed in Ceh’s corner. So even in the Belgian Cup everything is going well for Brugge. Final score: Seraing RUL 1 – Club Brugge 3 Scoreline: Mendoza 21 min 0-1; Mendoza 47 min 0-2; Lo Bello 78 min 1-2; Casas 90+2 min 1-3 Attendance: 10517 Bookings: Vandenbroucke Player ratings: Butina 7, Diogo 7, Gvozdenovic 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 6, Aghahowa 8, Englebert 8, Kallstrom 7, Casas 9, Mendoza 6, Ceh 8

Rep Power: 0 | Tuesday 23rd November:
The draw for the 7th round of the Belgium Cup was today. In the next round we play at home against first division side Lokeren. Wednesday 24th November: It’s the new boy. Brugge have won their 12th game in the First division. At home against Lokeren, they were never in danger as they dominated the game. New boy Casas was choosen as the man of the match after he scored a brace. Ceh is playing in Björn Noppe’s good books as he played another great game on the left wing.
When the game started everyone thought that Lokeren would beat Brugge as they started very furious and they had the first two chances of the game. Like against all the other teams Butina played once again superb and held his team up the first ten minutes. After that Brugge took the game in their hands and controlled it until the end. In the 21st minute Casas opened the score after a superb pass from Ceh. Two minutes into the second half he doubled his tally as he finished off Lange’s nice pass. Lange started the game as Mendoza was in need for a rest after such a brilliant display week after week. It looks like the First division is already played and all the other teams can start fighting for the second spot. Final score: Club Brugge 2 – Lokeren 0 Scoreline: Casas 21 min 1-0; Casas 47 min 2-0 Attendance: 16082 Bookings: De Geest Player ratings: Butina 7, Diogo 7, Gvozdenovic 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 5, Aghahowa 8, Englebert 7 (Vandendriessche 79 min 7), Kallstrom 8, Casas 9, Lange 7 (Saeternes 79 min 7), Ceh 9 Anderlecht won against La Louvière with 2-0 while Beveren easily beated Westerlo with four against one. Charleroi lost at home against AA Gent with 1-3 while Germinal Beerschot and Standard couldn’t score. Lierse humiliated Sint-Truiden as they trashed them with 4-0. Mouscron – Cercle Brugge ended 3-0 while Oostende managed to get a 3-3 draw against Antwerp. Roeselare lost at home with 1-3 against Genk. Saturday 27th November: So it is possible to win against them. For the first time this season Brugge lost in the competition as Westerlo inspired by De Langhe and Dosunmu managed to defeat them. Aghahowa made the score level again before Westerlo scored their second goal of the evening. So Brugge lose and this is just before their game with AC Milan in the Champions Cup.
It’s a good thing for the competition that Westerlo beated Brugge this evening. Brugge lost Lange very soon in the game and he was replaced by Stoica. Stoica changed position with Aghahowa so that the Nigerian was playing upfront for the first time this season. De Langhe opened the score in the first half for Westerlo but it last only five minutes as Aghahowa equalised in two times. Westerlo managed to fight on and believed in their chances when Dosunmu scored a nice goal in the 55th minute. It remains to see if the other teams have taken profit of this loss. Final score: Westerlo 2 – Club Brugge 1 Scoreline: De Langhe 34 min 1-0; Aghahowa 39 min 1-1; Dosunmu 55 min 2-1 Attendance: 9980 Bookings: Haraldsen, Delen; Diogo (misses next match), Englebert (misses next match) Player ratings: Butina 5, Diogo 7, Van der Heyden 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Aghahowa 7, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 7, Casas 6, Lange 5 (Stoica 10 min 7), Ceh 7
After the game I received more bad news as Casas and Lange are both out for two weeks with injuries. Talking about a bad day. AA Gent0 and Roeselare couldn’t score as the game ended like it started while Genk defeated La Louvière with 1-0. Lierse won against Anderlecht with a small 1-0 while Sint-Truiden lost at home against Beveren with 0-2. Oostende lost after nine games without a defeat against Standard with 3-1. Sunday 28th November: Cercle Brugge defeated Charleroi with a nice 2-0 while Lokeren – Germinal Beerschot ended two all. The last game of the 13th playday was between Antwerp and Mouscron. The final score was 0-0.

Rep Power: 0 | December, the final month of the year, which will clear up some things. Wednesday 1st December:
The board and fans were still delighted with my performances as manager.
As usual it is time fo the Goal of the Month:

1) Yaya for Beveren vs. Westerlo2) Mbo Mpenza for Mouscron vs. Genk3) Habets for Antwerp vs. Beveren

And of course I had to check my manager profile:

Ability to handle pressure 6 sameAmbition 11 sameLoyalty 8 sameMedia handling 18 sameProfessionalism 13 sameTemperament 12 sameReputation good ok
Barcelona have signed Valencia’s David Albelda for a fee of €11,5M. Manager Frank Rijkaard hopes that he can turn the things around for his club. A flashback? This evening there was Champions Cup football again and Brugge had to travel to San Siro to play against Milan. Just like last year Brugge managed to get away with a draw from Giuseppe Meazza. They have only one person to thank for that result and that is Tomislav Butina. He stopped a total of 10 shots and came out as the man of the match. Brugge almost win but Ceh couldn’t overcome his nerves as he missed the penalty.
It was a real shooting practice for Milan as they dominated the game most of the times. First half chances of Kaka and Shevchenko were saved by Butina and Brugge even created two chances in the first half but both Englebert and Mendoza were stopped by Dida. With a half hour gone Brugge had to replace Saeternes as he was injured. Stoica replaced him. In the second half Milan pushed forward even more and it couldn’t last long before they would score but a really superb performances of Butina prevented Milan from scoring. Milan almost lost the game when Laursen used his hands to prevent Mendoza from heading towards goal. Referee, Michael Weiner, saw this and awarded a penalty. Just like always Ceh stepped up to give his team the lead but Dida choose the right corner as he saved the penalty. A slot offensive from Milan didn’t help them as the game ended 0-0. Final score: AC Milan 0 - Club Brugge 0 Attendance: 58897 Bookings: Van der Heyden Player ratings: Butina 9, Diogo 6, Van der Heyden 5, Clement © 6, De Cock 7, Verheyen 6, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 7, Saeternes 5 (Stoica 29 min 7), Mendoza 7, Ceh 6 Rangers Champions Cup campagne is over as they lost with 1-2 at home against Real Madrid. Zidane scored the first goal nine minutes before the end of the first half but Lovenkrands equalised on half-time. In the second half Portillo scored to give the Spanish side a 1-2 win.
More news today as Betis won’t be happy to see Denilson, one of their starplayers, being injured for 5 months. The injury came in the Champions Cup match against Partizan.

Rep Power: 0 | Friday 3rd December: Mouscron – Standard was the first game of the 14th playday. Although both teams wanted to win the game, the final result was 0-0. Saturday 4th December: Beveren managed to keep the three points at home against Lierse as they won the game with 2-1 while Charleroi fought to get a convincing 4-1 win against Antwerp. Germinal Beerschot won with 3-0 against Westerlo and La Louvière lost at home against AA Gent with 2-3. Sunday 5th December:
This afternoon Oostende defeated Lokeren with 3-2 while Roeselare lost again at home against Cercle Brugge with 0-1. At six o’ clock we had a game to play. From revelation to canditate for relegation. Club Brugge easily overcame last season’s revelation Sint-Truiden. Sint-Truiden are currently in last position and if they continue to play like this then they should be happy with second division football next year. Mendoza scored a brace in the first half and just before the end of that same half Aghahowa made it 3-0. A boring second half saw one great highlight as Kallstrom scored with a nice freekick.
If this game was going to be played last year, you knew that it could be exciting, but this year Sint-Truiden are in a bad form and they were easily putted away by champions Club Brugge. When the 27th minute came Clement played a great long ball for Mendoza and the Peruvian striker finished it off as he rounded the keeper. Three minutes before the end of the first half Mendoza scored his 20th goal of the season as he hitted a left footed volley into the topcorner when Ceh centred the ball. Just when everyone thought the first half came to an end Aghahowa made it three nill as Verheyen played a nice trough ball. A boring second half saw some chances of Sint-Truiden and one more goal from Brugge. Kallstrom scored a nice freekick as he bended the ball like Beckham, over the wall into the net. Final score: Club Brugge 4 – Sint-Truiden 0 Scoreline: Mendoza 27 min 1-0; Mendoza 42 min 2-0; Aghahowa 45 min 3-0; Källström 82 min 4-0 Attendance: 14342 Bookings: Maertens; Dello Player ratings: Butina 8, Maertens 8, Van der Heyden 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Verheyen 7, Stoica 7, Kallstrom 8, Aghahowa 8, Mendoza 8, Ceh 7
There was one game that had to be played after our game and it was planned for this evening. Anderlecht lost at home with 1-2 against second placed Genk Friday 10th December: Lierse help Brugge. This evening Lierse helped Brugge a bit as they scored the first goal in Brugge’s 1-2 win over them. Wils doesn’t score much but when he does, like this evening, he scores against his own team. Mendoza added another one three minutes later and Hegelmeer’s goal looked nothing else then a consolation goal.
You can’t say that Lierse didn’t try as they created some good chances trough the game, but you know who stopped them? Right, Butina. After 28 minutes Wils was unlucky as he score an own goal to give Brugge the lead. Three minutes later Mendoza scored after a superb pass from Aghahowa to make it 0-2. From then on both teams had some chances with the best one’s being for Brugge but Mardulier prevented a slaughtering. Lierse tried to score but they had to wait until the 93rd minute to get their goal. It was Hegelmeers who scored after a long throw-in from De Wilde. Final score: Lierse 1 – Club Brugge 2 Scoreline: Wils 28 min (own goal) 0-1; Mendoza 31 min 0-2; Hegelmeers 90+3 min 1-2 Attendance: 14508 Bookings: Verheyen Player ratings: Butina 7, Diogo 7, Gvozdenovic 7, Clement © 7, De Cock 7, Aghahowa 8, Englebert 7, Kallstrom 7, Casas 7, Mendoza 9, Ceh 7
Also today it was time to play the Inter-Continental Cup as Lazio played against Boca. It was the Italian club who won the cup thanks to two goals from Inzaghi. Saturday 11th December:
