I have this strange problem. it must be a bug or something.
As the title says i can't sign u-18 players from any country... i did a search on the forums and apperantly it just suppose to apply to belarus, brazil and belgium... but i can't sign u-18 players from any country. And this is after i installed the patch :S... before the patch i could.
Can this have something to do with that i play in Russian League? maybe there is some strange rule that EU u-18 players cnat play in a non eu country, but i don't think so because i couldn't sign an Irianian 17 year old.
Im playing in the premier league, and i couldn't sign an U18 from Equitorial Guinea. I could from Italy however. So maybe its for non-european nations.

Try it... i have tried to sign u-18 players from ukraine and from russia and was not able to do that... an this sis after i installed the patch... before the patch i could
IRL, clubs aren't alowed to sign players aged under 18 from non-eu countries, so in FM08, this has bow been expanded to include many other countries. IRL though, I believe there is a loophole in which clubs employ the players parents, enabling the player to join them.

Dinamo kiev recently signed a bolivian 15 or 16 year old... so i don't think those rules apply to Russia/Ukraine... england and EU maybe, but in that case what about Leonel Messi for instance... he came to Spain at age of 15 or 16.. not sure but he was u-18 that i'm sure about
Some countries do not allow U18 players to be sold overseas. At Arsenal I am not allowed to buy U18 players from Brazil. Im guessing its all about Visa's etc.

Yes but i can't buy u-18 players from !!ANY!! country! thats what the post title is and that what the post is about... if it would just have been brazil, belgium and belarus i wouldn't care.. but i can't sign u-18s from any country !!AFTER!! i installed 8.0.1.
