It may be purely cosmetic, but it should read "has just joined the club, is happy and doesn't want to think of moving" for the players whom that applied to, instead of just one big standardized reason for not accepting major dosh.
Also, I fear the loyalty of players is both overrated and overstated, as you pointed out with your 'half the footballing world' comment. It's entirely true, imo, especially in the classic players in rubbish leagues not wanting to move for all the money in the world. And, alternatively, in the youth players with youth contracts in rubbish leagues case as well.
I was thinking the same thing about Bojan. Why would he not want to earn 100 times more in England?
And the easy answer was that he wanted to stay in Spain. I would find it ridiculously hard to move to another country, especially at a young age.
You haven't provided the name of the person so I can't really apply it to you. Just making the point that money isn't the only thing players look at when moving clubs
This is the worst thig in the game
I guess I can understand why some players wouldnt want to but what about staff. I offer them nearly 20 times what they earn and they dont want to come to my team? WTF is that. He would go from an average salary to a millionaire! There is no one who wouldn't accept that IRL. No one!
As for players, money also needs to be more influential. IRL money seems to be very important to where a player goes. Look at Beckham with Galaxy. He went there for money. Look at Lucas Neill...he could have gone Liverpool but instead went to West Ham for money. Look at all the players that have gone to the middle east. Even a lot of the players playing in places like Russia or Ukraine are there just for the money.

One could actually argue that staff are LESS likely to take money in most cases. Loyalty tends to be more of an issue for staff, who in many cases are former players of the club they coach at.

Although I agree with the gist of this thread, I take issue with this post. Lucas Neill knew he would go to Liverpool and be a bit-part player. He is on 33k a week at West Ham, not amazing wages by Premiership standards, and he is the captain and one of the first names on the team sheet.
Similarly with 'players playing in places like Russia or Ukraine' are often young South Americans who know that a year or two in Russia and Ukraine will see them playing in the Champions League against some of Europes best sides. Is there any better way to be seen than that?
Look at Elano for example. Was at Shakhtar for a while, impressed for Brazil nationally and in the Champions League, now he has been, in my opinion, the finest player in the Premiership this year.
