I feel like nitpicking today, so here goes : When I'm awarded a dubious penalty kick, and I am asked to comment on it after the game, one of the options is "sounds like sour grapes to me". Anyone familiar with the fable "the fox and the grapes" knows that feeling cheated has nothing to do with "sour grapes"...The SI folks should have paid attention in school
Now go ahead and tell me where MY English sucks
Apparently you're not familiar with said fable. To put is short, sour grapes is the false denial of desire for something sought but not acquired. For the "sour grapes" option to be correct in the game, the complaining player would have to be saying something to the effect of "I'm glad you got the penalty, cause even if you hadn't gotten it, my team would probably just have lost anyway". It's just nitpicking, of course, but it's the third time in a couple of days I've heard or seen the term used wrongly, so I just had to say something... :p
