The severity from failing is better after the patch. I loaned Diara from Arsenal and barely played him, only sent him in for last few minutes, so his rating were mostly 6. The expectation was empty bar and said it was a poor acquisition. They only cried about it for a few weeks, just like losing on a bad game then it disappeared.
Also, if you can make your club financially secure, they'd tend to balance that out with whatever you do wrong.
One thing I feel strange about is after the season that you won something, the board was very pleased (last season), then the next season they turn back into "satisfied" again. What you achieved in the previous season seems to be forgotten in their mind. I guess this kind of confidence rating won't allow anymore of "sticking with the manager through thick and thin".
