picked him (nakamura) up for £7.5m and the first news item i got was:

Quote:
AC Milan's commercial director has praised your purchase of Nakamura.

He stated his belief that this transfer will cause a surge of merchandise sales to football fans in Japan
.."surge" --nice!

now trying to find a US player to sign, going to have to be someone with a EU passport as i just used up this seasons non-EU spot on nakamura. </BLOCKQUOTE>

did the Milan board force you to sign a high profile player? i think that is a cool edition, especially since it was easy to please them (34 y/o Heinze for £1.5M was considered high profile )

i tried to sign Nakamura on a bosman when pirlo left, but he wasn't a worthwhile signing according to my scouts (none of which knew the asian market... DOH!)

I wouldn't bother. I have an american feeder club, so bought a couple of internationals and it had absolutely no affect on my merchandising. Just buying big name players has more benefit.

do you have to keep playing them for the extra revenue to keep coming in?

and how much extra revenue did he generate for ManU? No where near as high as Park Ji Sung I would imagine, and China is a way bigger market than Korea.

I was thinking of doing this with a Japanesse player however, even with all Japanesse players loaded, the scounts find no-one. Not one single player.

Surely there must be at least a few up and coming youngsters.

And yes, my scout has a high knowledge of the area 'cause the ****er keeps getting sent back 'till he finds a player.
