i just wanted to know what attributes to look at when picking a good assisstant manager, for instance would they need to have good judging of player ability.
or are all of these irrelvant as there is a bar at the bottom of the page with
'manager'
'assisstant manager'
'coach'

a good assistant manager has good coaching a and good judging attributes

That manager/ass man/coach bars will be adjusted once he gets into the job. They'll learn how to do the job anyway after a while.
What you should be looking at for assistant manager are mainly:
man management
tactical knowledge (in case you want to skip a game or you have to [touchline banned])
squad discipline
motivating
Adaptability
Determination

Judging would also help, same as working with youngster if you plan to have him control the youth team. Coaching attributes, in case you want him to coach something.

There is a similar thread to this elsewhere on the forum. In this other thread it was suggested that a guy called Krzystof Dowhan is a very good choice for an assistant. I tried him when I took over Man U after they sacked Fergie and he and the team are doing very well.
