Nothing has been decided yet, to be honest. First stage is to identify the nature of the issue, the reasons behind it and then fix it without breaking anything else!

Anybody getting this issue could try going back to one of the beta patches.

I personally like the 2nd one, as even though this earlier version also has issues imo the match engine here at least has strikers tending to score in positions where they should, where there also seems to be more variety in chances created.

I even think my teams performance is on the same par- its just imo a more enjoyable experience.

Agreed. I personally find the first beta the best, the closing down in the updated beta seemed to of taken a step back. But either one of them gets rid of the horrible 1 vs 1 issue, which imo is far more frustrating.

doubt it will be fixed any time soon, as far as i'm aware (according to a mod or SI guy in another thread) the poor finishing is a result of too many chances being created, hence in order to improve finishing but keep scores sensible, the whole match engine may need to be tweaked.

i just went to beta patch. my saved game from official 8.0.1 works but the 1 on 1 problemss are still on it so i had to start a new sasve game.
