In my first season with Man Utd, i destroyed everything. Won the Prem, the CL and the league cup.
Second season was absolutely horrendous. My team would barely create any chances, let alone win. I finished the season in 11th, and only won the league cup.
Third season was back to the norm, won the Prem by 10 points, Runner up in the Eufa Cup final (Damn 90th min Fiorentina goal!), and won the FA and League cups.
Fourth season is again absolutely horrible. Im in december and barely hanging on to 4th spot due to the other teams not performing too greatly. Im drawing games i should be winning 6-0. I'm being totally dominated by any half decent team. My players create nothing, despite having the likes or Pirlo and other players of his calibre and high passing abilities doing jack. The only goals i score are corners and longshots, i cant remember the last time my strikers played like strikers. On the plus side i qualified for the CL knockout stages, and im in the league cup SF, but this team's performance is a shadow of last year.
What is up here? Do i really need to change my teams tactics completely every season? Surely a team of superstars should not be playing poorly because my AML has longshots on rarely instead of mixed.
I've never seen such a yo-yo game. Im tempted to edit my whole team to 20's in everything, and great morale just so that i can see if they can pull out a half decent performance.
Now, another thing i want to know is why i cannot call a team meeting to discuss their poor performances. Winning a few games 1-0, drawing the majority, and creating hardly any chances sure sounds like they need a boot up the ass from one of those meetings.
