This is not a rant, i'm just curious if other people have the same problem as me.

I have read alot of posts about not scoring enough goals in relation to the number of shots had (which i fully agree with), but does anyone else think there are 2 many shots in the first place?

Its not uncommon in the game to see both teams have 20+ shots; this is surely far to many. Even when on the recieving end of a hammering, you can still have 10ish shots. I think this is down to the fact that far to many players seem to be able to get in behind the defence and have a one-on-one with the keeper, and then miss (dont get me started on this matter).

At least with players continually missing, we are getting realistic scores. If players were scoring half of there chances, there would be about 10 goals a game, which is even more unrealistic.

Well I'm scoring a ridicolous number of goals averaging nearly 3 per game, but my guys with very good finishing, composure and decision stats can't score from 1 on 1's to save their life.

In the patch updates it says
I dread to think about what it was like before.

I wonder who they watch to base these "improvements" on, because even the Mighty Orient are better at putting one-on-one's away.

I've been saying this for weeks. There are too many shots per game, and this leads to too many chances being missed. SI saw this problem so instead of fixing it they made it harder to score to balance it out.would

With this problem, any other person would realise that you need to reduce the number if shots in the first place. But because of some strange virus affecting the staff at SI, they have done something completely wrong.

I'm pretty sure it will be fixed in FM09 or maybe in a patch. But this probelm should never have arisen in the first place.

Too many of certain types of chances..not sure if it is across the board. Don't think they mess up shots/headers from crosses for example.

Good post. Yeah, I think all games are too "interesting" which sounds like a ridiculous complaint but it's true on my game, at least. While not all my games are finishing 7-5 or similar like they were pre-patch(es), I am still never seeing a goalless draw and every game is end-to-end.
