Yes i (and others) want the game to be perfect. I don't expect it to be perfect. Big difference. Some argue that previous versions are closer to the real thing than this. That is their opinion. Some people feel that another patch could make the game more realistic. You seem to have a problem with this...no idea why.

Most of us are trying to help SI fix problems to improve the game by bringing the issues to their attention, and of course there will always be people eager for patches so they can enjoy FM even more.

Although seeing as you have been warned for immature posts, I'd not expect you to understand that.

Congratulations for not noticing any bugs, this doesn't mean they aren't there though.
I know there are some bugs but probably not as many most of the whingers say.
I think the main problem with FM08 is that so many things are either over tweaked or under tweaked and this flows on through the game causing some nasty issues.

Tweaking tactics doesn't work for some issues, for example I changed my corner tactics to aim at the far post. Still about 50% of my corners are straight to the near post where the player is standing at an impossible angle, then when they do connect it 99% of the time it's heading back towards the corner.

So the whingers decided they don't like that bug and are back to playing on the beta patch. Of course nearly every near post flick on the beta patch goes in, this of course is their great tactics working and not a bug.

I like the game and have played the series for years and will keep playing it, but to say there are no bugs or issues with the game is a joke.

Also can you explain to me what "tactics, training or management" I need to tweak to get my near post flick man to step back a metre or two from the line, to at least open up an angle? and then what to tell him so he heads towards goal and not the corner.

It is frustrating though.

I had Craig Bellamy on the second Beta patch scoring 17 goals in 35 games.

Since I have been playing 8.01 he hasn't scored once.

The only way I can seem to score is via a cross and then a header.

Then of course there is my centre backs having balls lobbed over their heads constantly despite me having all their instructions on ultra defensive.

But of course it's my tactics!
