Double click on the marked area in the toolbar and you can hide the toolbar (except for the tool icon)

No status bar visible? Go to windows/status bar and make sure 'status bar' is selected. Click on the arrow in the status bar to see some options that are available. You can also enter a value in the zoom box that reads 100% in my example.

Please, feel free to add more tips, reminders or hidden features and consider a screenshot to make it easier to understand for the viewer.
I might add a few more myself. |

Tips, reminders or trying something new Post #14 | | Guest | Re: Tips, reminders or trying something new
In CS2, under Preferences (ctrl+K), under General Preferences, make sure you have the "Zoom resizes Window," and "Zoom with Scroll Wheel" boxes checked. This way, you can quickly zoom in and out of an image with your scroll wheel, and if you want to see the entire image, typing Ctrl+ will enlarge the window, and Ctrl- will shrink it.
Also, go into your Preferences, for Keyboard Shortcuts (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+K), and change your Undo/Redo to Ctrl+Alt+Z, your Step Forward to Ctrl+Shift+Z, and your Step Backward to Ctrl+Z. This makes Ctrl+Z undo, and Ctrl+Shift+Z redo, for however many history states you have allowed (PS allows up to 99 steps).

First of all i thank JoeD for opening this topic and posting good tips here.
My first tip is simple one, to change the background of you present working document in CS3, right click on the outside area of the document and change to the colour you like. |

To set it back to normal the color is RGB: 192, 192, 192.
