From FM07 to FM08 i've tried signing this youngster and he keeps signing a new deal with Bordeaux. I've offered all sorts of contracts to him and it makes no difference even though when i praise him in the media he says he would jump at the chance to play for me (Liverpool).

I know a lot of you have bought him can you please let me know what you offered.

i barely ever failed to sign him as arsenal etc in fm 07 and havent failed to sign him yet on 08 pre and post patch

What kind of contract did you offer? youngster, hot prospect or maybe first team or key player?

hot prospect £4.4K p/w

I signed him for 400k comoinsation at start of season 1 for my Chelsea team. £55 p/w & will sign £300 p/w on 26.10.07.

make sure you give him a full time contract

and

give him what he requests in the contract...

also

some times a player for e.g may only want 2,000 a week but they want 400k signing on fee...

but it wont let you give him the 400k because the percentage of his wage is not enough

i've had no problems signing him on both my liverpool and newcastle games

if he has already signed a pre-contract with the club then i don't think you can just sign him even if it says that you can "approach to sign", you have to buy him through the club with "make an offer".
