Default Bamble's Home Nations Challenge

Hi All, I've been thinking about making a Challenge Thread for quite sometime and therefore have come up with this one!!

N.B. Please note that Player and Tactics sharing will be allowed in this Thread, therefore, please do not browse if you do not wish to see any of those.

The Aim

Live as an immortal in the Home Nations of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland. Basically, you have to Win as much as you can within the 5 Countries with just 1 Manager Career. You will start off as an unemployed nobody and the overall aim is to Win every League and Cup possible within the 5 Countries.

You don't have to complete every Country before moving on. For example - Say you start with Barnsley in the Championship and then Win the Championship, Premiership, FA Cup and League Cup. You can then swap to a League 2 Team in order to Win League 2, League 1 and the Johnstone Paint Cup. So, you don't have to Win all the Cups within 1 Country with the same team!! Hope this makes sense.

The Set Up

Medium Database
Start Unemployed
Automatic Rating
Attribute masking On
No additional Players loaded
Start date Scotland 2006

Here are Screenies of my Set up before starting:-

Set Up

Managers Set Up

Clubs Available to Start with

Screen Shots Required

1 - The same 3 as above:- Set Up, Managers Set Up and Clubs Available.
2 - Manager Profile before you change clubs.
3 - Transfers In at the end of each Transfer Window if any have been completed.
4 - End of Season Table
5 - Cup Wins Match Screen
6 - News Item of any new job offered that you accept (the one that has the confirm button on).
7 - Any others you think might have be of interest to the rest of us!!

Munster Senior Cup - 10
All Ireland Cup - 10

European Points

Champions League - 150
UERO Cup - 100
European Super Cup - 50
EURO Vase - 20

Please note that each Trophies Points can only be counted ONCE!! I.E. If you Win the Premiership in England twice, then you still only score 100 points for it.

That makes a Total overall Point count of 1450. Any Cups that I've not mentioned here are not included. Things like World Club Championships etc.

Right, I think that that is everything that is needed for the Challenge. Any Questions then please feel free to ask.

I'm about to crack on with mine, I've applied for all the jobs that are mentioned on the list above and await a reply from one of them. Good luck to anyone who fancies taking this on.

I might play this, but why a medium database? Am struggling at the moment to find a game I can get into but prefer to play with huge database? Can this be set to database size - optional?

Medium database allows for a more realistic game rather than having all the cheap Brazilians instantly available which makes these sort of challenges too easy then. Having said that, if you want to try it with a Huge Database then go ahead!!

Right Friendly Resulta are thus:-

Briton Ferry (A) - Lost 1-4
Tramore (A) - Lost 0-1
UWIC (A) - Lost 0-1
Merthyr Tydfil (H) - Drew 0-0
Weymouth (H) - Lost 2-3
Garw (H) - Lost 1-2

Doesn't fill me with a lot of Confidence for the Season!!

Might have something to do with the fact that my original set of players were absolutely Cack!! Therefore, I made a huge forray into the Free Agents listings and virtually signed a wgole new team, which means they may well need a Season to settle down playing with each other. Anyway, here's a Screenie of my major Transfer activity:-

Well, my Pre Season odds are 40/1, might have a fiver each way on that!!

Started my 1st game very well at Home to Caersws, where I cruised to a comfortable 3-0 Win (maybe the Season won't be to bad after all). My 1st new Signing Paul Knight supplied 2 of the Goals with Rossiter (only 1 of 2 that are left from the original Squad) getting the other.

Hopefully, I'll be able to build on this and move onwards and upwards!!
