Something must be done about the amount of rubbish threads being created in the last week or so.

Some are barely sign-ups or challenges and after a week the thread starter pulls out of doing it, all its doing is clogging up the forum.

I second this statement.

There's been a surge in Sign Up games of late and I'm wondering if any of them will be followed up with a lot of commitment from the people who started them. I know my sign up was short lived, but it had a bit of interest for a while.

Although there a a few really good ones in progress at the minute and I hope they last a very long time.

Guys, we tried the harsh approach and it didn't work so you will just have to live with it until we get some more moderators in, which could be next week, next month or next year (probably the latter the way things have been going)

Could we not bring in a ruling whereby if someone starts a sign up/challenge and then say in less than 2 months decides they can't keep it going that there is a temporary veto on any new sign ups/challenges by that person for let's say 6 months. I think this might deter people who think of something and then just decides to quit it after doing it for around 3/4 weeks.

I know that people somethimes have other things that get in the way (like me just recently) but I least try to keep some sort of update going in my sign up until I can start giving it my full time again (as I did in mine).

It does get annoying when you see someone start something only to say that they don't have time to carry on with it just 3/4 weeks later, only for another 3/4 weeks to go by and they decide that they'll start a new one up!!!

This is where I think a temp ban for 6 months would deter people or at least make them follow through with their original idea a bit more I think.

There's not really that many sign ups/challenges that are kept going long enough to make it worthwhile posting them on here. I think a Sign up should have a run of at least 3 Seasons to make it worthwhile for everyone taking part and if posters aren't prepared to take the time, effort and courtesy to do that for the people they entice into their sign up then they should think twice before posting it up.

That's all fair enough, but until we get some moderators in (and it's not up to me to do this or I would) then there isn't much I can do as I can't devote a lot of time to doing something like that as I would much rather go home and lie in my bed and play Pro Evolution Soccer after work
