added to that Carlton Cole on loan and Mark Yeates on loan.
Again I am planning on saving my money and hoping my larger then average crowds will get be a big transfer kitty for next season when i am in the championship. If i am struggling at xmas i still have 1 million to spend so its win-win.

Ah bugger, game wouldn't load up (nor would my other Liverpool save last week). Have three back-ups though so hope one will work at least.
Was top with 8 league games gone, maximum points aswell.

Loving this challenge atm - currently top of league 2 after 22 league games, but some games are a real struggle and you can see your youth getting overpowered by some of the more rough and ready lower league teams. Got battered at Bristol Rovers but we stood firm and won with 2 late goals from sub Leon Best
Out of the JPT now after losing on pens at Wrexham, so just the double to go for now |

Jep as we start with no assistant manager are we allowed to re-sign Pako? He is available and will sign.

I tried getting Pako, he rejected
Back-ups don't work, so will begin the challenge again tomorrow as I can't be bothered too right now.

| Oh yes - got Pako as my assistant
About the only one of the old guard who would come back though |

I got him. It is tough to sign players. Tried ex-players, no chance. You know it's gonna be hard when a 36yo Carlos Roa turns you down!
You don't start with to bad a squad though. 2 decent centre halves, 2 decent central midfielders and 2 decent strikers. So you get a spine it's just the rest you need to improve on. If I manage to get a decent keeper in I reckon I should do ok.
