I like the idea however i might just give you a couple of suggestions on how it could be slightly improved. Of course you may choose to completely ignore my advice and im perfectly ok with that.
1. Maybe your first post could have been more detailed. I know its a fairly simple challenge with not much to explain but look at some of the other challenges and how their first posts are set out and that may give you a few ideas just for presentation sake and to make sure you provide all the rules you want to be followed.
2. Like i said i like the idea however maybe you could have extended the challenge slightly. 2 or 3 seasons rather than 1 may make it more possible and more attractive to people who like to build their squads over a couple of seasons.
3. You should probably have a set database size that everyone plays with and probably set leagues as well so that some people aren't getting an unfair advantage on others by having alot more leagues and therefore players loaded
