With all 3 keepers being almost identical in ability it's hard to keep everyone happy - Betts has made 2 out of 7 possible starts and scheduled to start in the opening league match due to a slightly higher condition %.
3 from 8 would make him the most favoured keeper!

26/08/06 - News.

It's been a busy week for the boys, Australian Cup 1st round match vs Sunshine on the 20th, then the Pre-Season Cup Final on the 23rd and the opening league match vs Central Coast Mariners later today for 3 mtaches in 6 days.

Adding to the busy club duties, a large portion of the squad has been involved in international matches for various countries at various levels.
As a result some players are not featuring as often as they would like due to returning from overseas and not being in as good a condition as other squad members.
Management would like to reiterate that it is striving to be as fair and equal as possible.

Contract News - our 2 16yr olds - Swinson and Strezovski have signed pre-contract deals that will keep them at the club until 2010 and will come into effect on their next birthdays.

International News - The club had 10 players involved in recent internationals.

The team went into this match as 1-33 favourites and the statement that "Sunshine might as well not bother turning up"!

It turned out not to be the a complete thrashing, but changes had been made and the team got the job done comfortably.

Pre-Season Cup Final.

Our 2nd match in 3 days and against a far more difficult opposition. This was a cracker that saw 2 sending offs, extra time and eventually penalties - not a strong point stat-wise for any of our squad.

16/09/06 - News

Been another busy few weeks for the club with league matches against Central Coast Mariners, Sydney Utd and the Newcastle Jets followed by the Australian Cup 2nd round match against Melbourne Victory - who we also play in league again later today.

1st up, we had a tight game aginst the Mariners who we'd scraped a 1-0 against pre-season.
