C.Betts and B.Talbott had shared the keeping duties thus far with 2 games each and the return to fitness of G.Davies is bound to increase the competition for the coveted position in the 1st XI.

On the 5th, the team managed to overcome pre-match favourites Adelaide Utd and the Pre-season Cup Semi-Final.

This result means that the team will face off against Melbourne Victory in our 1st ever final appearance - on our 1st attempt.
The match will take place on 23/08/06 at the TasmaniArena.

In somewhat surprising news, there is actually an Australian Cup (I live in Melbourne and didn't know!!) Our next match on the 20/08/06 is the 1st round match away against the Sunshine Georgies. Should be no challenge and will be the perfect opportunity to give a run-out to those that have so far not featured in the 1st XI regularly.

The Australian cup in the game does not exist IRL, apparently the SI guys put it in the game operating on the assumption that eventually there will be one I think.
