I've just left a meeting with Prince Frederik and he would like me to issue this statement;

"We at Hobart Gold FC are today proud to announce that the Australian Government would like to reward those involved at the club with Australian citizenship for setting a shining example to the entire world that football in Australia should and will be taken seriously"

"From later today every player will now hold dual, or triple, passports"

I also think the 120,000 seat stadium is too much. I mean that would be the biggest stadium in Australia, by at least 10 or even 20 thousand.

Don't go overboard.

Dean Strezovski would like to request a Danish passport from prince Fedrick since he is already an Australian Citizenship.

Apparently the stadium was the cause of the previous crash-dump... It's actually supposed to be 40000 - with the capacity to be increased to 120k!...

Don't see this as a major issue - Nationalities have been sorted and I've made Strezovski a year older - He would've been ineligable for another 8 months!...

Also corrected Libertinho's name and position and added a 3rd kit...

Had enough with the editor for now, I think we can get things under way...

Also agree with Walcott - can't see the team becoming massively better than competition in the A-league for a long while yet... The competition in the continental comps will another be a step up also...

16/6/06 - News.

Congratulations to Ben Talbott, who today signed his 1st professional contract, keeping him at the club until 2010.

Alex Dreew has been sent home for around a week to recover from the flu.

Gareth Davies has been sent home for 2-3 weeks to recover from a virus.

The squad will tommorrow depart for their pre-season tour of Denmark - matches are scheduled against AC Horsens, FC Midtjylland, Brondby and FC Kopenhagen.
The club hopes the trip will bring the squad closer together as well as allow them to test themselves against higher quality opposition than they are likely to face in the league.

The friendlies will be managed by the more-then-able Assistant Manager - Michael Laudrup.

15/7/06 - News.

The squad returned from Denmark with a less than impressive record of 1 draw, 3 losses - 2 of which were rather substantial.

2 local friendlies have been played since their return.

Pre-Pre-Season Wrap-up.

No real high-lights from the tour other than Birkinshaw's brilliant final 20min against FC Midtjylland.
His 6 goals from 6 appearances and Kaka's 3 goals and 2 assists are worthy of a mention, with 1 or 2 solid performances elsewhere.
We were out of our depth in Denmark.

Injury recovery times as of today.

JJ. Libertinho - 1-2 weeks with a chest injury
G.Robson - 6 days with a sprained ankle
P.Gonzalez - 2 days with a fractured arm

Up next - the official A-League Pre-Season Cup.
