This year in FM2007 SI have given us hundreds of brand new features to use. There are the large ones such as feeder clubs and improved scouting and there are the small ones that you barely notice sometimes. This thread is about one of these. The random team button.
When you begin a new game you can use this option to assign yourself a completely random team from the leagues you selected.
This opens up new worlds of FM playing and can make it quite like a lottery. You could get Barcelona……or you could get Basingstoke. You just don’t know.
The aim of the game
The aim of the challenge is to win everything from the countries you have selected as well as the continental cup (or cups) they can play in. You must win every league (even the lower ones) and cups that are available for you to win. Also you must win everything internationally (World Cup, Continental Cups, Confederations Cup)
Setting up the game
Another new feature is the wizards which help you set up new games and your manager profile. To set up your game for this thread you must use the wizard.
Step 1
Select up to three nations to play
To make it a bit more challenging you must follow these guidelines when setting up the nations. You do not have to choose three nations however it is recommended you do unless your computer cannot run three nations. If so you only follow the guidelines for the amount of nations you are playing (e.g. Spain and Brazil or just Italy).
Nation 1: A major European nation (Top 15 taken from UEFA Coefficients system)
These are Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.
Nation 2: Any Non-European nation
Nation 3: A minor European nation (Any European nation not mentioned above that is playable in game)
Step 2
You must select all leagues from that country as this gives you a wider random team choice.
Step 3
The start date is up to you however I recommend using the one of the first nation you chose.
Step 4
Again database size is up to you depending on your computers spec
Step 5
In International management you must win every International competition. This requires you to have nations from every continent available for you to play as. On the smallest size database there are many teams from Europe and a few from South America and North America loaded however you need more teams from Asia, Africa and Oceania.
To do this simply load players from 2 or 3 nations from those continents.
For example I could load players from Ghana, Togo and Cameroon for Africa, New Zealand and Samoa for Oceania and South Korea and Australia for Asia (I know Australia isn’t in Asia but they play in the Asian continental cup to make the Oceanic one fairer). It is also fine to load more teams from other continents such as Trinidad and Tobago or Chile.
Notes: The database must be un-edited. It must be the original database and only official SI patches are allowed. Player attribute masking must be on.
Creating a manager and choosing a team
Your manager can be as you wish however his reputation must be automatic
To choose your team click on the randomise button. It doesn’t matter if it is a club team or an international team, what you get is what you get. That’s why it’s such a lottery!
Posting requirements
You can post anytime you want about things however there are some initial posts which are needed for the challenge.
Firstly when you join the challenge you need to post your three chosen nations, your team and a picture of your manager profile.
Apart from that you can post pretty much what you want when you want although end of season updates are probably necessary.
Changing jobs
You can pretty much change your job anytime you want but you must make it known on the thread.
International management
If you are assigned a random International team or you become an International manager you still have to apply by the above rules. However official end of season updates do not apply to you. They should be submitted at the end of the current tournament you are playing in.
If you manage both club and internationally you need to post reviews for both teams.
Notes
No third party patches or utilities are to be used (such as FM Scout).
Player naming is allowed, as is tactical discussion.
The major and minor European nations were based on UEFA Coefficients (the Top15). Not because I have anything against the other nations.
Also I’m using European nations twice as there are more of them on the database.
Enjoy!
P.S. If any of this is unclear don’t hesitate to ask.
No need to post the team as I'm a nation also, my luck that I get probably the poorest nation available to me
Ah well 'mon the Islanders
btw, how are you supposed to change club? I'm guessing you'd have to retire your manager once you achieve what you need to, add a new manager and randomize a new team? Or just apply for a job which is vacant?

Just apply for a vacant job to change clubs (if you want to)
Good luck with the Soloman Islands (you'll need it)
I just beat Kalmar FF of Sweden 6-4 on aggregate in the Euro Vase. I only know one of my players lol (Mads Timm)
I Just Realized That ive Qualified for Euro 20088 as Host Which is bitter/ sweet as i just had to arrange friendly against a load of crap teams so ill post my results at the end of each year
