Today FIFA President Sepp Blatter has surprised the world by announcing his stepping down as FIFA President. However in his final act before his resignation he has thrown FIFA policy out of the window and announced his own successor. Blatter will be replaced with immediate effect by the Chief Executive of the Bahaman FA, a Mr Sonny Island. Mt Island announced that he was very proud to be the new FIFA President and that he would do all that he could to uphold all of his predecessors traditions as well as those of world football. He added that he hoped that in future years he might see some more of the smaller nations and islands, including his own, become world football powers.
7th June - Breaking News
FIFA have today announced that, from today and until the 30th June, the rules concerning player nationality had been relaxed for the Bahamas. Many countries opposed these new measures fearing that their own youth teams would be decimated by these measures. However, after much negotiation a compromise had been reached that would allow, for a short time, players meeting specific criteria to become Bahaman nationals. The criteria are set out below:
1. Players must be under the age of 18 at the closing date for this registration period (born after 30th Jun 1988)
2. Players must be playing football in their native countries and only from specifically named countries
3. Players must be playing at the lowest available level of football in those countries (a full list of teams will be available shortly)
4. Finally, no more than six players from a single country may be granted Bahaman nationality at this time and no more than one player from an individual club side.
Players interesting in applying for Bahaman nationality should travel to the Bahamas for a period of at least one week, and after one week they will be able to meet with Mr Island who will arrange for the necessary paperwork to be completed and the registration finalised. Mr Island will however be limiting the number of players in each position as the nations cause would not be greatly enhanced if he had 26 new Goalkeepers.
Mr Island is also rumoured to be negotiated the services of former Bahaman International 'Dwayne Dibley' to act as National Team manager. This has yet to be confirmed.
The Sign Up Rules
Below are the list of 26 positions that the Bahamas is looking to fill, you will see that each position is also preceded by a letter (A, B or C). These letters represent a grouping of players, with these groups differentiating the Potential Ability of the players. However to stop everyone immediately picking the group that has a PA of -10 there is a twist. The group you pick also effects what the maximum value of a stat you pick is. The groups are:
Group A : PA -10 : Max Stat Value 12
Group B : PA -9 : Max Stat Value 16
Group C : PA -8 : Max Stat Value 20
You can choose 6 player stats at your maximum value, the restrictions are that you have to choose at least one from each 'pot' of 'Technical, Mental & Physical, but you can also choose no more than 3 from a single pot. You can therefore choose between 2 from each set or have 1 from one grouping, 2 from another and 3 from the third.
Additionally you can choose one of the following 'Person Data' Attributes; Adaptability, Ambition, Controversy, Determination, Loyalty, Pressure, Professionalism, Sportsmanship & Temperament. You can then distribute 45 'points' between this attribute and your Left & Right Foot attributes. The max Stat Limit does NOT apply to this split, therefore as a Group A player, you are allowed to give 20 points to your Loyalty stat.
Current Ability will be allocated using a random number table. You will need to pick a number between 1 & 30 and this will be used to allocate your CA. There is nothing to stop more than one player choosing the same number to start with.

Some of these countries only have one playable league in which case some of the teams will not be available. I will list the unavailable teams after that countries screenshot, teams that will not be available will be in 'continental' competition.

I will be managing the Bahaman National team and letting the players move around freely.
