Ia anyone else surprised by the player values in the listed teams?

Cailungo have a player valued at £120,000.

Cosmos have a player valued at £735,000.

Folgore have 1 player valued at £925,000 andother at £250,000 and a 3rd at £95,000.

San Giovanni have a player valued at £1,600,000.

Virtus have a player valued at £180,000 and another at £85,000.

This doesn't seem quite right.

The only available results for the teams are European games, although some have agreed friendlies with high-profile clubs.

And let's just say that the teams have all spent a large amount of money. Murata, who are the only team in European competition in the first year have signed Luca Toni amongst many others.

More to follow tomorrow.

Not really because player values are partially affected by the reputation of the club. A 16 year old in the youth side of a Conference team will probably not be valued at anymore than £1K but a player with identical stats, potential etc. at say Man United would be worth a whole lot more

This looks really good.

As others said, I'm curious to see how a non-playable league will affect a bigger league such as Italy.

Will all the best Italian players from Milan, Inter, etc eventually leave to the San Marino clubs? Also, will this weaken the strength of the Italian league?

When I'm finished I'll upload the database if I can work out how to do it.
I'm not sure how much use it will be to anyone though because all the San Marinese clubs are unplayable.

2006/07 Season

Well the first season has certainly been an interesting one.

All the clubs have spent big – possibly because of the initial transfer budgets I gave them. Surprisingly, as well as spending millions on players from abroad, clubs have also signed mediocre (or worse) players from other San Marinese teams for low fees There have been a few high quality signings – World Cup winners Toni and Iaquinta as well as Gilberto Silva and the legendary if ageing Cafu.

Murata – the only club in European competition signed the most players and this brought them relative success in the UEFA Cup. They reached the knockout stages which is likely to help the coefficient, although this will not come into effect until the 08/09 season. They currently only get one UEFA Cup place.

Murata's UEFA Cup Run

Coefficients

The 15 teams have all overtaken Real Madrid on the rich list and now hold places 2 to 16 behind Barcelona. I’m not really sure where this extra money has come from – maybe it’s as a result of the “sugar daddy”.

Rich List

The national team have been atrocious as you would expect – they haven’t scored a single goal. However each team has brought 7 players through their youth academy and every single one is San Marinese. That leaves 105 players, the majority of whom are already better than the players in the current San Marino squad. A few of the players look like they have the potential to play at the very top level. I would expect the youth players of the 15 clubs to make up the majority of the national squad next season. Another factor I hadn’t considered is the possibility that players who sign for the clubs could gain San Marinese nationality and play for the national team. I didn’t check this in the editor so perhaps someone could check and tell me how long it takes to get San Marinese nationality.

World Rankings

Juvenes were the only club to improve their stadium, their home now holds 7000 people.

Transfers:

Caliungo

Cosmos

Domagnano

Faetano

Fiorentino

Fiorita

Folgore

Juvenes

Libertas

Murata

Pennarossa

San Giovanni

Tre Fiori

Tre Penne

Virtus

Awesome experiment mate

Do you think that the clubs are going to keep up the same level of spending throughout the seasons?

I would imagine the number of years it takes someone to get San Marinese nationality is the same as it would be for Italy, which I think is 5 years, though maybe 4.

You can find that in the official editor.
I'm at work so I can't do you the favour
