Do you have firm ideas of the way player attributes tend to develop over time, and the factors which influence this the most?
Things I suspect that play a part:
- Age: at a young age, some attributes are more likely to rise than other attributes
- Training: training in an area raises the attributes. But: how much is too much, and does training in other areas dilute attributes in others?
- Match play: how does match play influence the development of attributes? Positive match experiences vs negative match experiences?
- Injuries
Interesting experiments could be to have several copies of the same save game, and play the same season several times, with the following conditions:
- 1: set all training to "none"
- 2: set trainging for defender on full Defender, strikers on full Attacking
- 3: set "your normal" training regime for everyone
- 4: set "your normal" training regime, never play a selected player
- 5: same as 4, but always play a selected player if possible
compare the attributes at the end of the season with each other.
I'm sure someone has performed an experiment like this...
I don't have the option the set training to none with Villa. Once when I got the sack and took the Boro job it was there but it's never an option with Villa. Is that normal?
