McCANN OUT FOR A WEEK

The physio informs me that McCann has fractured his arm and will be out of action for a week.
He will miss the Rangers game next Saturday but should be back in time for the Wednesday game against Kilmarnock.
We have a couple of players in that position who will hopefully do a good job in his absence.

A BIG BOOST FOR THE STRIKERS

Aberdeens strikers have went off the boil in recent weeks,So the news that German legend Ulf Kirsten will join the club will be a big boost for Aberdeen FC and the strikers.
The German will join the club in position of coach and will help the attackers try to re-discover their form.
Kirsten comes with alot of experience,The 39 year old German coach played 100 times for his country scoring an impressive 35 goals.

SCOTTISH CUP QUARTER FINAL DRAW

Motherwell V Rangers
Hibs V ABERDEEN
Hearts V Dundee U
Dundee V Ross County

OLISEH OUT INJURED

Sunday Oliseh was injured in training and will be out for 2 weeks.
He suffered a groin strain and was sent to a specialist. The specialist was optimistic that he will be training in less than two weeks.
It is a blow to Aberdeen as they look to catch Celtic who are starting to pull away at the top of the league.

LANGFIELD,MCNAUGHTON AND ANDERSON PLAY FOR THE SCOTS

Scotland drew 1-1 with Belgium in the international friendly.
Man of the match Jamie Langfield started the game for only his second cap,Kevin McNaughton also started the match. Both were subbed on the 86th minute.
Russell Anderson was on the bench but recieved a boost when he was given the captains armband when he came on in the 68th minute.
Ajaxs Wesley Sonck gave the Belgians the lead before Paul Dickov levelled it.Belgium were the better team but a superb display by Langfield was enough to see Scotland draw.

MANAGERS VIEW:-
It wasnt the best game to watch but we keep taking our chances when we get them,The midfield 3 done a brilliant job winning the battle and keeping Hibs quiet. We play them again in a week at easter road we expect the same kind of close game.
Our injury list is getting bigger which is always worrying,We will have a look at Diamond and McHattie on monday and asses thier injurys.
