This PM7 character is a prima donna, I'm glad you've dropped him from the first team squad.

15th September

Scarborough 3 - 3 FMS

FMS dropped their first points of the season at the 9th attempt by the opposition to oust them from their 100% record and for most of the match it looked as though they would get no points at all.

the first half saw total domination from the northern club, who broke the FMS backline when Jaimie Burt nodded in from the edge of the six yards and Dark Soccer really should have done better.

One minute later, and BobBev was pressured into giving away the 4th Scarborough corner of the match. It was whipped in and Burt's strike partner Darren Stamp piled into a header from 10 yards out but again the goalkeeper was odds on to save it was it came low and straight at him. FMS' fans looked on horrified as the ball crept through Dark Soccer's legs and trickled into the back of the net.

The first half came to a shocking end as Stamp smashed a scorcher towards the keeper from 30 yards and the awful Dark Soccer spilled the ball over his shoulder into the corner of the net on the 41st minute. Manager Nick Dunmore had had enougb by this stage and 16 year old Euan Alexander made his first team debut. He was forced into making two excellent stops in the 3 minutes before half time as the away side needed to seriously improve their performance if they were to take anything from the game.

With Manson still out injured, WLKRAS had made his debut in the centre of midfield and had looked inept. Deciding that the side needed to get back into the game as quickly as possible, the manager reluctantly brought on PM7 for the debutant and the petulant old man was determined to show his worth.

With Flippers' still out injured, Raptor was up top with the resurgent Binny and the pair combined with PM7 to get FMS back in the game. PM's through ball found Raptor who's shot rebounded off the far post, where Binny poached a tap in on 54 minutes. The away fans felt a comeback in the air.

4 minutes later and veteran Raptor blasted a 25 yard screamer into the top corner to take the league leaders within one goal of the opposition.

For the rest of the game, FMS had 80% of the possesion as they desperatly tried to get the equaliser. Binny, Raptor and Spav all came close, but it was star left winger Furnivall who completed the come back with a cross shot that crept into the far corner off of the post in the 89th minute to secure a memorable point for the away fans.

First points dropped of the season for the lads, but a magnificent 2nd half performance and impressive debuts for PM7 and Euan Alexander salvaged what should have been a humiliating deafeat for the visitors.
