Sorry, I meant starting in NI, making your way to the English Premier Division.

The 'communist' one could be interesting. You would have to like make it so that when you moved to other countries you had to sign all Russians, or at least as many as you might be allowed that could be tricky but well worth looking into.

Are Russians classed as EU or not?

Take over a League One side. Get them promoted before winning back to back titles (Championship, Premiership) as he did. Then take the England job and lead them to World Cup glory.

Hows that?
TBH its been done a million times and isn't that much of a challenge anymore, sorry.

This is a great idea PM as I think that any challenge idea would benefit from constructive input and a bit of refinement. I'll get my thinking cap on.

the communist one - go west, but through as many of the er baltic ones as possible. If they're not possible then just Poland and the like would do. Nations with a Nazi influence, could run as a double game with another manager in control in USA/England/France?

Personally I thought of a Japanese one ( ) where you have to build up your reputation there, take the Japs to world glory and then do the same with other oriental leagues, going from zero-hero-traitor ad infinitem. Trying to come up with a background story that would fit in to.

What about doing something along the lines of the British Empire. If anyone knows the countries we invaded, and in what order, you could follow that route, and have to win the title in each county before moving on.

Just a thought.

Things that can cause issues in a challenge with FM

1. Having to run lots of leagues (too slow)
2. Having to get specific jobs (too restrictive)

It would be a good idea to consider how any prospective challenges would be affected by these points.

This sounds like an excellent idea. Personally I always much prefer the challenges which allow you to choose which club you do it with, if you can also choose the nation then that is great for even more variety.

Dunno if I'll have a PC to play FM on by the time the next challenge comes out anyway, but from a reader's point of view too, I don't have much enthusiasm for reading lots of challenge stories if I know they'll all be about the same clubs!
